It had been a very long week after my birthday... Finally I submitted my professional profiling proposal to the school. hmmm, I will be doing a profile for Retail Industry. For alot of RP students, this choice seems to be a sucide. But I am ready to take this... Industry is definately a very big thing to analyse and so, I took the advice of scoping my profile all the way down to the sectors of the industry...So thus, I will be looking into the competitive environment in department stores and E-commerce, which from there I will recommend new entrants on the competitive measures. Well there are 2 reasons why I did not choose to profile a company...
1. I have no company in mind...
2. I want to learn more about the industry I am interested of...
Yah, and that is the two main reason why I choose that.
Academically, I also hope that my profile will help me somehow since I had been hoping to field into Retail and hospitality next year. Knowing how retail industry process, I will be able to quickly understand the applications used in that industry. I guess I shall not talk so much about it, lets just wait till it is being approved.

There is this thing which I am personally happy about. I had got my first A in the UT-_-''' there is only one test so far that is being graded. But A will be driving force for more of such 'A's in the future... PUSH FOREVER!!

14th May 2007, monday blues monday blues and more blues to come. This illness is really really affecting my performance today.

On this blue monday, I had IT security and management where we are studying on the various access controls. There are Mandatory Access Control, Discrepancy Access Control and Role Based Access control. All access control methods had their different kinds of characteristics and function to suit different types of business. Anyway, kind of switched off for today... Reasons?? Tired was one of the reason, another one was that I am all the way thinking of Business Climate project... The melt camp, how am I going to organize and so on... Just afraid how my team-members will react to my leadership and stuff like this... Thus for this, the presentation I had was really really bad. Got shot down terriblily, but kind of used to it; so lets just take it as a learning experience like preached by PBL.

Thought of the day: To forget about yesterday and to move on to tomorrow.... I had lose my courage, my determination to be a leader, yet yielding to be a great one one day.

12th May 2007, I skipped N~Zire's basketball session and attended the Welcome Camp of Business Climate where we welcome our new members. A little disappointed by the turn outs, 47 registered, 12 confirmed, 6 turned out. But after all it is expected since we are a business oriented interest group.

Anyway, the day was fun; enjoyed crapping with some new members who are year 2s actually. HAHA, mainly Micheal, Wei Quan and Meiqi. The craps are really crap, and fills the whole day; ranging from facilitator jokes to the lammest thing "singing lao shi zao". A great or bad news to announce, the W66D Tank Fever had been spreaded to Business Climate by 40%. hmmm...

Business Climate, SLA was over and I am back to my core project which I was dumped with. This time round, i am not going to do it like what I did last year. Waiting for guidelines? why not set my own~~ I am so going to make this project of mine to be the greatest achievement in my Republic life, together with my team members. Got to start cracking soon.

Business totally about money? So is it valid to say that those with money-sense will be very good in business? Partially true, Business is about money, but not all... Business could be a social science of managing people and resource, it could be an art of socializing and networking. Some people took business as their fields or join business because they enjoy the very sense of money making. No blames on them, money do serve a motivator for most to work but for now I chose Business out of passion. The interest in negotiating, socializing and having vast networks plus the sense of fulfillment and challenges ahead drives me all the way into the Business field. Indeed, passion drove me this far... I seen the rise and fall of my momentum in terms of passion, sometimes I let that passion to drive me all the way, sometimes I just forget and crumble my way. Haiz.. why am I so concious and reflective?? And why I am never sastified by myself?

Forget of all the sighing and moaning, in one weeks time I will be matured 18~~!!! hurray, that is a good news to me because that shows that I am grown up!! Bad news is, more responsiblities and expectation is coming in my way....

9th May 2007, just 50 minutes into this very new day... Finished my RJ so decided to finally drop by an entry.

Just recently, I am addicted to this new game. Considered my favourite game in my entire life, NEED FOR SPEED CARBON... I completed the earlier version of this and now this version is an continuous from the previous one. Very fun and the graphics was cool. Now you guys know that I love cars and I love the drifting of those machine as well. The sharp cornerings, overcomed by a graceful drift. Nothing can be nicer than that I guess. HAHA.. As I type in this entry, I can literally feel the drift from the game~~ Well?? understand my joy ?? =D Anyway, gonna thanks my friend Steward for this game. Had been hunting for quite a long time.

Anyway, C108 is the module which I do Java, see that problem 3-A. Exactly the problem I did after I complain.. HAHA what a irony... It is seriously a shock for me but explosion of happiness, since it is the first A that I got for that module. Well just for your information, I won't stop here and will be still working hard for more of it. What's sad is, my monday blues cost me the first B in C121, haiz... But I will work hard alright, for I am a great student!! the test below will varify that(heex)

2nd May 2007, the fifth month of the year and into my birthday month....

Apologies for the missing in action from this blog, guess just alittle busy with some activities. Shall not bore this blog with the full details of what I had done for the past week...

Yesterday, went out with Honsonn, Anita, Nigel, Si yang and Derrick to the goddess of mercy's temple at bugis. It is a special trip back to return the favour, as during the time when Honsonn, Shawn and Jing Ren were facing some problems over at HK. Before that, was a long waiting for the love birds to appear(those who are there will understand what I say). After the temple, all of us headed to Sim Lim Square where Honsonn found his Motherboard while I am still searching for an external hard drive for my laptop. Had dinner at Bedok block 85, happy time waiting for 'Ba Chor Mee' and the rest of the feast which includes, 'auo jian' and 'satays'. All in all, I reach home with a very bloated stomach. That ends Labour day and after which I stay home to revise Database for the upcoming UT, can't believe isn't it?=D

The faithful today, a number of Diploma in Business Application students went to visit one of the manufacturing factory in Singapore. Situated around the west side of Singapore, sits one of the top branded bread; Gardenia. I am pretty fascinated by the process of bread making in the factory when I visited them. Using of IT to do quality checks and so on. This trip was actually intended for our senior who take manufacturing and logistic module, but I put my leg in since that is the module I want to take for my core specialization. Another module under that catergory is Hosipitailty and Retail. Out of all these, I still have to study hard for my year 2...

Tomorrow, will be happily Java-ing... Hope that I will get an A tomorrow, because I had been getting B for this module. And I just don't know why??? hmm...
